    Description

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is taking Gunfight in a much bigger direction with Kill Block, a playlist built around the new 10v10 format. The mode is already playable in Beta and is scheduled for full release on October 23, 2026. You will probably notice the difference within seconds: there are no custom classes, no second chances, and far more players moving through the same tight space. For players checking out MW4 Bot Lobbies, the real challenge here is learning to read the map and react before the other team does.

    How Each Round Works

Getting into the mode is simple. Open Multiplayer, choose the Kill Block playlist, and select 10v10 Gunfight. Two teams of ten enter every round with one life each. Everyone receives the same random setup, including a primary weapon, a sidearm, tactical equipment, and lethal equipment. That rule changes the feel of the match straight away. You cannot lean on a favourite build or a carefully tuned attachment setup. If the team gets a shotgun, everyone gets it. If the next round brings a marksman rifle, the whole lobby has to adjust.

Match feature How it affects play
Team size Ten players per side
    Lives One life each round
    Loadouts One shared random setup
    Round target Win six rounds

    Winning the Fight

The cleanest way to take a round is to remove every opposing player before time expires. That is easier said than done. A team may lose several members early, then recover by holding a strong angle and forcing the other side to push. When the clock reaches zero with players still alive, an overtime flag appears in the middle of the arena. Capturing it wins the round, but there is another route. If the timer ends during overtime, the team with the better combined health total takes the point. Shooting wildly can cost you more than a missed elimination.

    A Map That Keeps Moving

Kill Block is the working name for the West Bridge Advanced Military Training Facility, and its layout is built from three movable sections called Slabs. Each team starts on an End Slab, while the Central Slab creates the main fighting lane. The full area is close in scale to Shoot House, but it does not stay familiar for long. Teams switch sides after the opening round. Then, after every two rounds, the Slabs rearrange into a new Combo and the shared weapon setup changes with them. More than 500 combinations are expected at launch, so memorising one route will only take you so far.

    What Strong Teams Will Do

The best approach is to keep talking and avoid making the same push twice. Call out damage, watch the gaps between teammates, and check new sightlines before sprinting forward. A loadout that feels awkward at first may become useful when the next Combo opens a long lane or closes off a flank. The match goes to the first team that reaches six round wins, which gives every shift in weapons and terrain real weight. If you want extra ways to prepare between sessions, CoD MW4 Redeem Codes can help you keep track of available game rewards without pulling attention away from the fight.
